Comparison between Data Logger and Data Acquisition Systems

Comparison between Data Logger and Data Acquisition Systems:

Definition:

Data Logger:

Data loggers are electronic devices used to monitor and record environmental parameters over time and the stored data is then measured, documented, analyzed and validated. The data logger contains a sensor to receive the information and a computer chip to store it and then transfer the information onto the computer for analysis.

DAQ Systems:

The DAQ Systems converts physical conditions into digital form, for further storage and analysis. Data is stored either on a computer or on a separate device. Unlike a datalogger, a DAQ Systems can capture multiple parameters, either the same parameter (just temperature, just humidity, just pressure, etc.) or a mix of different parameters (pressure, temperature, humidity etc.).
